Alaila Morris, Senior News editor
Alaila Morris, a member of the Class of 2021, is enjoying her third year in Journalism. She started as a freshman but came back in her junior year as the Sports Editor and one of the staff writers. Now that itās her last year, she’ll be serving as the Senior News editor.
Alaila has been involved in extracurricular activities since she was a freshman. In ninth grade, she played volleyball and wrote for The Armijo Signal; in tenth grade, she played volleyball for the Varsity team. Due to a bad injury, she didn’t play during her eleventh grade year, but did work on both the Mezcla (the school yearbook) and The Armijo Signal. She hopes to return to volleyball if the season resumes, and continues to work on The Armijo Signal.
Alaila would rate her writing skills about an 8 on a scale of 1-10, so it is not in the long-range plans. Instead, she wants to become an ultrasound technician after graduating from a university.
Three fun facts about Alaila: she has six piercings, she loves vampire shows and movies, and her favorite things to do are playing volleyball and listening to music.
