Alaila Morris is our current Senior News Editor, bringing the seniors the most important information.

My name is Alaila Morris and this is my third year in Journalism class.
I started writing for the Armijo Signal during my freshman year as just a staff writer. Then, in my junior year, I was a writer and the Sports Editor. Now I am a writer as well as the Senior News Editor. As such, my job is to take the stories for and about seniors that are written for the newspaper every two weeks and make sure that they are properly placed online, with photos and captions.
In my opinion, Journalism is a better class in person than online, but that’s school overall right now. In person class was better because we students had a chance to get more accurate quotes for stories. Now, people are less likely to respond, creating additional challenges for the writers.
Even though I enjoy writing, my future plans have nothing to do with that. I actually want to be an Ultrasound Technician and right after I graduate, I plan on starting to build my career.
