On Saturday, October 13, a group of Armijo students signed up as a group to volunteer together at the Food Bank of Solano County. The students sorted and bagged carrots for a couple hours and enjoyed giving a hand. Many of them were able to use this time hours as part of their collection for CAS hours. CAS stands for Creativity, Activity, Service and is a vital part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
Serving others and volunteering is not restricted to students in the IB program. Students in ERWC (Expository Reading and Writing Course), the senior English class, are chipping in, too, joining IB students as they organize another group volunteer day soon.
