Lettuce Grow Club Plans First Harvest on October 25
What started as sprouts is ready for salad now.
Out to the garden on Thursday, October 25. It’s time to harvest the kale and lettuce!
Students are encouraged to bring buttons and wear multi-ethnic bracelets. “I have purple and gold ribbon to decorate the baskets,” said Ms. Herrera, making plans to document the event on Twitter and InstaGram.
The harvested vegetables will be going to Armijo families. “Thanks for all your support,” Ms. Herrera said. Follow her and her tweets with the hashtags #thegardenchronicles and #grownbyusandgoodforus.

Their coordinated shirts, painted by ASB officers in the past years, become a highlight of the event as students stop to take photo with them.
