An Armijo Royal until the end
Senior Spotlight: Leo Gonzalez-Arechiga
When the school finished converting the mascot to the Royals, Leo Gonzalez-Arechiga was there for the change. Before attending Armijo High School, he attended Grange Middle School, but he remembers how it was to become a high school student.
His first impression of Armijo High School was that he liked the school events and his classes, and he knows that he will miss going to class every day. He got involved in the wrestling team at Armijo, but now that the season is over he has time to work at a restaurant.
Over the years, Gonzalez-Arechiga has gotten to have lots of experience and he has had several teachers, but said that hisfavorite is his art teacher, Mr. Cody Frisinger, “because he just makes the class really fun,” he said. Gonzalez-Arechiga enjoyed learning something different every day in art.
While he has enjoyed his art class, his ultimate goal after high school is to go to a trade school. In his free time, Gonzalez-Arechiga usually just hangs out with his friends, but his hobby is watching sports shows like UFC and football.
