Fairfield, CA – Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District is hosting a series of three Fentanyl Awareness Town Hall Meetings to educate parents and community members on the dangers of fentanyl.

The meetings will be held in the evening from 6:30-7:30 PM at locations throughout the district. The first meeting will take place on January 18, 2023, at the Solano Community College. The second meeting will be held at the Suisun Kroc Center on January 25, 2023, and the third meeting will take place on January 31, 2023, at the Public Safety Academy campus.

This community event will provide information and resources on the opioid crisis afflicting communities today. The primary focus is to educate families on the dangers of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid drug that is 100x stronger than morphine and 50x more potent than heroin.

Information will be presented by Fairfield Police Department, Fairfield Fire Department, Solano Public Health, and Solano Collaborative Courts. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Recordings of the three-part series will be made available after each presentation.
