Spirit Week Offers Cartoon Fun for All
This year’s Football Homecoming week will have the theme of cartoons and it all starts and ends with Scooby Doo.
Monday, October 15, the Dress-up Day theme is Scooby Doo, Where Are You? and students are encouraged to wear camouflage.
Tuesday’s Dress-up Day theme is Teen Titans Team Up where people will find ways to dress like their buddies in twos, threes or even more. This is also the last day to purchase tickets to the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 20.
Wednesday will celebrate Pink Panther Day and students and staff will be sporting pink in every shade imaginable.
Thursday, October 18 is Fairly Odd Day, with students choosing the craziest and wackiest color and style combinations. It is also the final day to vote for the Homecoming Court. Students received a link to a Google Doc in their email.
Friday is the big day where students will celebrate Armijo Adventure Time, dressing in purple and gold to show off their school spirit. That afternoon, the Junior Varsity (JV) team will face off with Rodriguez at 5:15. That game will be followed by Homecoming Skits from each of the classes. The Varsity game will start at about 7:15 pm. At half-time, the Homecoming Court will be announced.
Attending the games will require a ticket. Students with school ID will be able to get in for $5 but those who have an ASB Gold Card can get in for free. Adults must pay $7.
