Have fun, get scared, but stay safe!

With Halloween approaching, we decided to dedicate this bimonthly theme to Spooky!

With last year’s restrictions, it might’ve been a while since you fully celebrated Halloween. Don’t let that make you sit this one out. There are plenty of things you can do to celebrate. Some only appear once a year, so it’s best to not take this time for granted. It’s that time again when we receive free candy and get a little spooked out by the decorations.

It’s important to recognize the origin of Halloween while you go out and celebrate.   However, many of the same practices done today are not what was originally intended. The purpose of Halloween has significantly changed. We have a story explaining the origins of Halloween, so be sure to check that out!

While we’ve all had our fair share of fright this year, better memories are always formed on Halloween. Carve a pumpkin and get creative with its face! Join your friends and sign up for a haunted house. If you’re up to it, pop up a trunk for Trunk or Treat.

So in the SPIRIT of Halloween, dress up, eat a lot of candy, and have fun with your friends and family. Remember to stay safe and read some of the other ways you can spend the holiday here on The Signal. Don’t get too spooked!
