Far from Home Siblings
At times, it looks like Renad and Noora AlShamasneh are the same. These sisters both moved to California in November 2017 so that their parents can follow their careers. They both came from a big city with houses very close together. It was a city in Jordan where many Americans live and many American tourists visit. It was a city that they both miss very much.
The girls agreed that they like everything about Armijo, especially “the teaching,” said Noora, who is a senior. When she graduates, she hopes to go to college, possibly Solano Community College, and then to work. Renad, on the other hand, intends to travel before going to Solano Community College. Renad is a junior.
When it comes to music, their tastes vary a little. Noora likes “English music. Anne Marie is my favorite,” she said. For Renad, she prefers Selena Gomez.
While they both miss their hometown, Renad said that she would only plan to visit there, not move back. Noora was not sure if she would go back home to stay.
“Thank you to all of the teachers, students and counselors for helping me,” said Noora. Renad also shared some parting words: “I love this school very much. Thank you!”

Their coordinated shirts, painted by ASB officers in the past years, become a highlight of the event as students stop to take photo with them. The moment captures how school events bring students together through shared pride and energy.](https://the-armijo-signal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Photo-1-450x600.jpg)
