A Second Chance for the PSAT
Due to previous the cancellation of the October 11 SAT, due to the Napa fires
and the temporary school closures, students who signed up for the test had a second
chance to take the exam on Wednesday, October 25.
That day, students met at the Community Center by the Solano County Library at
7:45 a.m. where they were able to make up the test. The PSAT allows students to
prepare for the SAT exam that will be taken during their junior and/ or senior year. The
SAT results for each student is sent to colleges and used as an admission standard.
The PSAT test is generally divided into three sections: reading, writing and
language, as well as math with and without a calculator. Despite a rough start, most
students had completed each section under the allotted time. The overall duration of the
test was scheduled from 8:00-12:30, although it took a little longer than planned. While
test-takers were originally expected to be finished in time to return to Armijo during
lunch, most of them missed a large portion of 5 th period and only attended school that
day for 6 th period.

The 6 Senior ASB Officers [Mark Silva], [Ethan Magno], [Mariza Supapo], [Kiera Tomko], [Ahri Aguba], and [Osaguina Sorae] arrive early to the game to help set up and boost school spirit, gathering at the fence to hype up the crowd as the sun sets behind the bleachers. Their coordinated shirts, painted by ASB officers in the past years, become a highlight of the event as students stop to take photo with them. The moment captures how school events bring students together through shared pride and energy.](https://the-armijo-signal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Photo-1-450x600.jpg)
