Two from the same tree
Sibling spotlight
Starting a new school as a freshman can be challenging. It is unnerving for those who don’t know anybody, but that hasn’t been the case for Luka and Pazzong Yang. The two have been fortunate to be twins and started at Armijo together.
The two have attended KI Jones, Suisun Elementary and Crystal Middle School together, but Armijo probably won’t be the last campus they will share. They both plan to go to Solano Community College after graduation, but after that they will probably go to different universities. Their end goal, however, is the same. Both want to be doctors.
The twins agreed that the best things about this school is that they get to hang out with each other and discuss classes and that they can get help from each other.
Some people know that they are related but they do not share any classes. They do, however, share two of their teachers: Mr. Xavier Arcia for Spanish and Mr. Michael Powell for PE.
Still, it is not always easy. “It is awkward when we walk past each other during passing periods,” Pazzong said. Her brother was a little more blunt. “She gets annoying sometimes,” he said.
Being twins does not mean they share the same hobbies and favorites. Pazzong enjoys drawing, likes playing badminton and listening to pop music. Luka, on the other hand, enjoys playing games and likes eating pizza. They both like math. While Pazzong likes to stay home, sleep and watch movies for fun, Luka likes to mess around.
Like most siblings, they often think they are annoying to each other but, in any hard time, they would be best friends and would get each other’s back.

Their coordinated shirts, painted by ASB officers in the past years, become a highlight of the event as students stop to take photo with them.
