When Ms. Sarah Kimple first started teaching, she was nervous. “At first, yes,” she said, “but I got used to it.”

Ms. Kimple teaches English at Armijo, and she plans to continue in the career until she retires. She said that she likes Armijo and would prefer staying connected to the campus for her entire career.

While she has taught English 9, 10 and 10 Honors, this year she is teaching three classes of IB English A1 HL I and two classes of English 10. Her favorite subject is Creative Writing, but she is also an avid reader, everything from Young Adult literature to the classics.

In an interview in 2019, Ms. Kimple shared that she began her career as a substitute teacher for the Santa Rosa School District, beginning by subbing for seventh graders at Comstock Middle School, but fell in love with teaching when she coached the Color guard.
