Volunteer: Giving Back

Doing it for a good cause to give back to people who need things more than we do
Faith Powell is a very kind hearted person who spends some of her time giving back to the community.
Powell is a volunteer at the Samoan Christian Church. At her church she participates in food giveaways for those in need. “When I go out to the food giveaways, and go feed those who are in need, it’s very fun and all, but mostly heartwarming,” she said. “I’ll give them their food plates with a big smile on my face and right then my day will brighten as I see my smile on their face.”
Powell likes to give back to her community and encourages others to do the same. She has inspired her family to join her and brought them together to help out in the church, and, for two years, they’ve given Powell hope that good things can make a change and someday make the world a better place.
With her family’s loving support, Powell was also encouraged to go to a summer camp where she recognized the importance of helping others and spreading love. She loves to make others happy and she enjoys helping out and plans to continue volunteering in the future.
