Teaching Others
Twice a week Eneyka Phifer-Bone works at Kumon Tutoring Center, located on Travis Boulevard in Fairfield. She tutors children from preschool to 12th grade, but most of her students are children from age 3 to 8.
Phifer-Bone helps the kids become proficient in math and reading skills. She also equips them with the knowledge necessary to become successful when they enter the next grade level.
She feels like the age group she works with is very special because they have so many different personalities and are quite entertaining; they are excited to do work. “I want them to develop a love for learning so that they won’t hate school because I feel like many kids become burnt out pretty quickly,” she said.
Through her job as a tutor, Phifer-Bone tries to make the learning both easy and enjoyable at the same time.

The 6 Senior ASB Officers [Mark Silva], [Ethan Magno], [Mariza Supapo], [Kiera Tomko], [Ahri Aguba], and [Osaguina Sorae] arrive early to the game to help set up and boost school spirit, gathering at the fence to hype up the crowd as the sun sets behind the bleachers. Their coordinated shirts, painted by ASB officers in the past years, become a highlight of the event as students stop to take photo with them. The moment captures how school events bring students together through shared pride and energy.](https://the-armijo-signal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Photo-1-450x600.jpg)
