“The Senior Awards Night is an award ceremony for seniors and what they’ve completed or done,” said Ms. Sandy Anderson, College and Career Center adviser.

The ceremony will take place in the gymnasium on Wednesday, May 23. It starts at 6 pm and students will be recognized for their accomplishments over their time at Armijo.

There are different categories for each of the awards, including those based on grade point average (GPA) like acknowledging the valedictorians and salutatorians, and those based on participation in clubs and programs. The participation awards are given to students in the AVID program, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program and Leadership, as well as yearbook awards and many others.

Seniors were notified that they would be receiving awards and are encouraged to attend the ceremony. They are encouraged to bring their family members and friends to share in the experience of the honor.
