The Associated Student Body(ASB) president of the year 2023-2024 is none other than Kaylie Reyes. Reyes has been a part of the Leadership program throughout her years in high school. She also does multiple extracurriculars such as being the president of the Skate 4 Change club, playing club and varsity volleyball, and being in the International Baccalaureate Program here in Armijo.
Reyes ran for one of the ASB positions because being surrounded by different and amazing people every day in leadership like her past mentors set an amazing example and wants to keep doing what she saw and did this year and in the past year in leadership.
“I dedicate all of the success to Towner and everybody else in the leadership program… it’s not only a little successful thing for me but for everybody.”
As the president, Reyes wants to make sure everyone feels heard and seen because everyone has different and creative ideas and it’s important to implement them. Another thing is also getting feedback from everyone and going through with what she says she’ll do to impact the school. Reyes will also make sure that she is connecting with the rest of the school community, and hearing other perspectives as well as getting new ideas.
