Bedolla takes on a supportive role
Senior Class Secretary: Liz Bedolla
In Leadership, Liz Bedolla has the role of Senior Class Secretary. “I feel like I’m there to uplift them and their motivation, help them come up with ideas, and overall just support them,” she said. “Right now we’re working on a fundraiser, which is something big… We’re also planning the senior skit, and there are a lot of things planned ahead for the future.”
Bedolla feels that, in some ways, being secretary of the Class of 2023 will benefit her. “In certain ways it does,” she said. “It definitely helps with my leadership skills. It also helps me with socializing and public speaking and things like that…It also gives me opportunities to try something new and do things that matter to me. I think it also helps with the students at Armijo.”
“I have been in the Leadership program since I was a freshman,” said Bedolla. “I have met a lot of people throughout the time I’ve been here. I love feeling involved in the program, being able to help people, and overall just everything else that comes along with being in leadership. I find it fun for me, and being in leadership for this long introduced me to many new friends.
“I chose to do leadership because I wanted a place for me in this school, and I wanted to be involved in many different fun things,” she said.
Although Leadership is a big part of Bedolla’s life, that’s not the only thing that has her attention. Outside of Leadership, she is interested in cinematic-like things. “I am also really into cinematics. I’m actually also in the multimedia group, and editing is the main thing that I like to do,” she said.
“I am not sure what I want to do with my life, but I would like to have a career I love and help me be stable in life, and something related to leadership characteristics,” Bedolla said.
