Diana Villalobos, Entertainment Editor

I am the Entertainment editor now, but it took me years to get to this position.
I got into journalism my freshman year. I didn’t really have any idea on what was going to go on in that class. I just knew it had to do with writing, but I still decided to keep it.
Over the years, I’ve been interested in writing, but I never knew how to start off perfectly with a good, eye-catching hook. Journalism has helped me grow in that regard.
While I was only a reporter in my freshman year, I’ve spent my junior and senior years as the editor for the Entertainment section. I’m really glad I was able to stay in this class.
Even though I have had challenges in Journalism, I’ve learned so much. I was able to discover many ways to write stories as well as editing my section. It is an easy class once you get the hang of it and know that this is something you want to learn.
This is my last year in high school which means there will be an editorial position opening up soon.
I am honestly excited for my future. I’m going to start off in community college, studying business marketing, and later on I will start my own business.
