The Dodge Days of Winter

Things will be moving pretty fast at the Dodgeball Tournament.
A four-day Dodgeball Tournament took place in the big gym during lunch from December 9 – 12, with hundreds of people in attendance.
The weapon that was used to eliminate players was a volleyball and the team that won earned the coveted gold spray-painted volleyball. Last year’s team, which included juniors Mylo Cowart and Michael Reese, won for the second year in a row. “It was a good game,” said Amanda Johnson. “I can’t wait to do it again next year.”
Students from all grades competed and Leadership hosted it with the idea of getting more people from the student body to be involved in school activities, and to boost school spirit. Judging from the crowds in the bleachers, it seemed to be effective. They hope to host similar activities once a month for the students.

Their coordinated shirts, painted by ASB officers in the past years, become a highlight of the event as students stop to take photo with them.
