Special Olympics Basketball
On December 13, Armijo High School will be hosting a Special Olympics basketball tournament. This event will be held inside the Armijo gym from 10 am to noon. This tournament is very special to leadership and the students in that class play a big part in it.
“Leadership is a major component of this event by not only facilitating it but also participating in the games,” said Ms. Lynne Lee, Adapted P.E. teacher.
Special Education students will be teamed up with General Education students to play basketball and move up the ladder to a final winner. The teams will be playing a series of games and each player will get his or her own Special Olympics-T- shirt. Some staff members will be there watch it, too.
