All in a Name: You’ve Gotta Have Faith
Faith Wilson once met another girl named Faith at a church of one of her family members. It makes sense that she would encounter a person with her own name at a place of worship because her father chose that name, “Faith,” because of his religion.
When people first meet her, Wilson has a couple of clever things she shares with them so that they remember her name. She might tell them to think of “Faith, trust and pixie dust,” or “You’ve got to have Faith in yourself.”
Hers isn’t the only interesting name in her family. Her mother’s name is Benita and she has an uncle who goes by the name Buster. Her sister Jasmine went to Armijo and graduated years ago, but her other sister Desirae will graduate in June. Faith isn’t far behind, being a member of the Class of 2022. She has been paving the way for an interesting high school career, though, as she is already part of the art club and MoneyMinds.
When the time comes, Wilson plans to go to Solano Community College and then find a four-year school that meets her interests, but she’s not completely sure. “I might go into the military,” she said. “I don’t know what type of job I want to do yet.”
