Plans for a Community Garden where students participate in growing seasonal vegetables are underway.

On March 6, 7 and 8, we start prepping garden space: digging, raking, putting mulch
down, making swales, and more. The Garden Club will be doing this during school day
and after school…
The following week there will be the installation of more veggies as well as fruit trees,
flowers, native plants to the region, and a walking path. Students and parents are
encouraged to help participate for an hour or so after school during this phase.
The Garden Club is planning to do a big Earth Day / Garden "Open House"  for school
during lunch on Thursday, April 25. There might even be an official ribbon cutting
ceremony. We are hoping to bring in organizations such as Home Depot, Sustainable
Solano and Slow Foods to show support.
