The biography of Kikuye (KEE-KOO) Fujii (like the apple)
3 years in Leadership

In my 3 years of going to this school I have:
Done community service (such as haunted hike, crab feeds, and concessions for a little kid football team)
Was in multiple clubs (including Key Club and a secretary for Poetry Club)
Have done hula since I was 10 year old
Have been in multiple leadership roles (Class office for 2 years/ a committee head for club fair, leadership 101 and sped track day)

Things you should know about me:
I’m not a big fan of talking about myself, but I really want to allow people to get know me through this biography.

I love growing and learning with the people around me. I’m a huge people person and am always willing to talk to anyone. It’s always been something I enjoyed, talking to other people and learning something I may not have known before about them. I find bonding with new people very important because you never know what you might learn. I like to think of myself as open minded because I always like looking at things in a different light that may not be my own. In addition, I am very flexible. With that being said, I will always be free to talk to people and make sure that the next school year will be a good one. I’m very happy to finally able to run for one of your 2017-2018 ASB Officers and hope I can win your vote.

I really love our school and care a lot about. I love the things we already do, but obviously there’s always room for improvement. Things we can work on are:
School environment
As far as school goes, it’s not always fun for us students and we may start to lose motivation. I really believe that if we continuously promote positive messages to the whole school, it’d be really beneficial for everyone (both teachers and students).
Communication between students and the programs
Starting next year I’d want to have a google form sent out at the end of every month, just asking how you all are doing with your Armijo experience. For Example: If there was a lunchtime activity that you saw that you liked or didn’t like, you could send it into the survey. If you have any concerns with Armijo even and it’s environment, don’t hesitate to mention it in t. I would look into them with my fellow ASB officers and take into account all of your comments. The survey could also be just you saying that you had a good month or a not so great month.
Getting the word out
Like every other student at Armijo, I hears things. Often times I hear that people say that they didn’t know about events that we had at our school. For things like that we have a remind 101 and a twitter page. So I’d really like people to follow those things if they don’t already. However, something I’m more concerned with, is upcoming test dates or due dates to buy things. I don’t see those in the broadcast to often, so something I’d like to do is just work with Multimedia to get that on the broadcast and really promote important things like that.

Some of my top priorities I have are:
Making sure that everyone has a good school year and making sure that everyone has a memorable time in high school.
Sometimes we get so caught up in school that we don’t allow ourselves to have free time to just be a teen, and that’s something not even school should be able to take away from us. Vice-versa we teens should always remember that school is school and that before we can go out and be a part of the world, we need to make sure that are well educated. I really want to press for a great balance of these two things for next year even if I’m not elected.
