The signs are there and they are positive.

According to Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, people can be categorized into two groups: introverts and extroverts. This current theme is here to raise awareness for those introverts out there that are often overlooked by extroverts.

The definition of an introvert is not set in stone as people interpret introverts differently based on their own experiences. However, it can be concluded that introverts are often thought of as quiet, reserved, and thoughtful individuals. They are mostly more interested in the inner workings of their mind and feelings instead of external sources.

Some people believe that, if you’re an introvert, you were likely born that way because of the way your brain works. Introverts’ brains respond to dopamine differently than extroverts’ brains, so they prefer calm, minimally stimulating environments to extroverts. Many introverts also claim that they feel drained after socializing and regain their energy by spending time alone.

Unfortunately, being an introvert is seen as a bad thing as extroverted people are able to share their thoughts and ideas more easily. People try to “fix” introverts as they are seen as disadvantaged in today’s society. However, there are also pros to being introverted, like the fact that introverts are usually better listeners and problem solvers. Don’t believe me? We have a story focusing on famous introverts and Albert Einstein is the first one on the list.
