About me:

My name is Rianna Samson, and this year is my 2nd year of leadership.  In middle school, I was part of leadership, the dance team, the yearbook team, and robotics. I have always tried my best to support my school by helping set up events and going to games, and because of that, I have really grown to love leadership – especially in the past couple of weeks.

Experience:

In 8th grade, I was part of leadership and I was the lead yearbook editor – I had organized all the pages and created the cover. I had also joined the dance team and performed at lots of games and events for my school. Last year in 9th grade, I joined the freshmen class officer team, helped paint and set up the Trunk or Treat at K.I. Jones, helped put staff appreciation posters around the school, which are actually still up.

My characteristics and skills:

I have always been a very determined person, and I have always wanted to contribute to anything as much as I can because contribution is something I’ve always loved to do. I have also always put all the effort I have into everything I’ve done, and I never start any project or work without finishing it.

How I plan to contribute to leadership:

I plan to contribute to leadership by making sure everyone in the program and outside of it feels involved. As someone who has constantly felt left out and knows so many other people that have too, equality and the feelings of other people are very important for me, so if I notice anyone that feels that way, I will be sure to change that to the best of my ability.

Priority:

I want people to be able to connect with each other and to always be in touch with each other. I know that if you aren’t able to connect with other people, then the fun you can have in leadership is cut straight in half. I would try my best to know everyone and help others connect with others by starting conversations, making group projects, and starting a Remind.
