| My name is Isolde. I’m in the 9th grade, and I previously attended B. Gale Wilson Middle School. I decided to take a journalism class one day in English class after being given a sheet of paper to choose my electives for high school the next year. At first, I didn’t really know what to pick until I noticed a small box titled Mass Media and Journalism. It sounded interesting; however, I didn’t really know what it was at the time, so I asked my teacher if she could explain it to me. Once she explained it to me, I concluded it would be a great class option for me because I really enjoy reading and creative writing.
Some things about me are that I have a close and pretty big family. I’m the oldest of four; I have two younger sisters, one younger brother, my mom, and my dad. I’m particularly close to my mother. In fact, one of my favorite memories from my childhood was when almost every night my brother and I were little, my mom would read us a different book, which my brother and I would take turns picking out. She would give each character a different voice, and she would add noises and moods to each character depending on their attitudes. This is what I believe sparked my love for all things literature-associated.
A few things I’m excited and hopeful about this school year include attending fall football games with my friends and playing for the Armijo soccer team. One thing I’m hopeful for this school year is getting good grades. The final thing I’m excited for is meeting and getting to know new and different types of people.
To sum up, my passion for literature and storytelling, alongside with my excitement for new opportunities, makes me hopeful for a great school year ahead. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!. |
