In order to graduate high school you must meet the A-G requirements. One of these requirements is having taken a class Biology for at least one year. Most students will take Biology in sophomore year  if they are not in IB. Those in IB would take it their Junior and/or Senior year of high school.. Armijo High School gives the option of three different Biology classes: Environmental Systems and Societies (also known as ESS) Standard Level, Bio Higher Level, and Integrated Biology College Prep.

In ESS SL and Biology HL students are being trained to test out in those subjects in order to receive the IB diploma along with college credits. Students have to write  IIs similar to an extended lab report as one of the requirements. On a day to day basis, they do labs and other assignments to help with understanding the concept. ESS also takes a field trip every year to Suisun as well!

Integrated Biology does similar things to Biology HL and ESS SL in the sense that the student also preform various labs along with other fun activities to help them learn the content and concepts presented to them.

Overall, Armijo High School offers a diverse set of biology classes and one of those will be right for you.
