Armijo club raises money to fight breast cancer
Around the World Club is hosting its third annual Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser for the month of October. On Tuesday, October 3, during fourth period, teachers received a pink cup with instructions.
The Sparknotes version: collect money throughout the month from each of your classes and earn bragging rights and a raffle! Teachers can challenge fellow teachers to a friendly competition. There are more ideas are on the instructions.
“I look forward to seeing some friendly competition going on for such a great cause!” said club adviser Catherine Plecenik. Proceeds will be sent directly to the National Breast Cancer Association, and for every $100 raised, a woman in need receives a mammogram.
