June 2017 | Volunteer | London Legree

London Legree has been volunteering at the Leaven for 3 years and has been working to make an impact by helping the ones in need. At the Leaven, she helps the kids with their homework, outside activities and teach about God, “as it is a faith- based center for the low income people”, she explains.

London got into volunteering as it was close to where she used to live and she heard about it which made her wanting to give it a chance. She chose to volunteer as she loves helping children and love helping the ones in need. When asked for one advice to encourage students to volunteer she said, “it is a life- changing experience”.

Apart from her tremendous volunteer work, she also is involved in a lot of sports and clubs for Armijo. She did swimming and tennis this year. She is also Vice President for black student union and senior representative of Club 180. After graduating, she wishes to go to UC Irvine and become forensic psychologist for FBI.

She also has a brother who has graduated from Armijo, Jeffrey Legree who is 29 years. She also likes listening to Gospel music. Her hard work and motivation towards helping others is going to get her far in the race of life.
