What is in the air we breathe? Where does air pollution come from? How does air pollution impact your children, neighbors, and community? What can we do to reduce our air pollution and protect our homes?

Dr. Nick Spada will be joining us to answer all these questions and lead a workshop on how to build a cost-effective home air filter.

Dr. Spada is a scientist at the Air Quality Research Center of the University of California, Davis. His research focuses on the prevalence of metals in air pollution, which he uses to support large-scale national monitoring as well as targeted studies in front-line communities.

We will be giving away the materials to build your own air filter (Corsi-Rosenthal Box) to the first 10 participants who register to receive the supplies (located as a free “add-on” to the ticket). You must live in Fairfield to qualify. Only one set per household. Materials will be provided at the workshop.
