Where to eat before and after Prom
Prom is approaching and it is all exciting. Although it is exciting, going or leaving prom with an empty stomach is not always fun. Sometimes the best bet to satisfy that hunger is something local, but it is also worth visiting something near the destination.
Before prom, you might want to go with a good meal that will keep you full for a few hours. Keep in mind that snacks will most likely be provided at prom.
If you plan to eat with friends before attending prom, and you’re not paying for your transportation by the hour, you might want to stay local and go towards a nice restaurant like Joy of Eating Cafe located at 535 Solano St # A, Suisun City. Their menu consists mostly of breakfast and brunch items so it will be a good early lunch before prom and getting dressed up for the big night. They have many options like steak sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, and many more. They also serve pancakes along with French toast. They have a special dish called ¨Fish and Chips¨ which consists of battered fish served with crispy French fries.
If you want to make dinner part of the prom night magic, you might consider visiting Empress Tavern, which is recently re-opened. They offer what they refer to as Elevated American plates “in a stylish, brick-lined vaulted space” at 1013 K Street, only two minutes from Elk’s Tower where the prom is being held.
Now after prom, people are often hungry and it is harder to find a restaurant that is open at that hour. A lot of people will head to In-N-Out in Fairfield, which is open until 1 AM, but there are other options.
Your options are limited near the venue, although Punchbowl Social at 500 J Street, Suite 100, does offer both a Late Night and Dessert menu to help satisfy, and they are open until 2 AM.
Closer to home, Adalberto’s Mexican Restaurant at 2370 N Texas Street in Fairfield has a drive-thru that is open 24 hours. They have many choices from burritos, tacos, and steak fries, but you’ll need to find a place to enjoy all of that good food.
