Crochet is the star, but fun reigns
Club Focus – Stitchers’ Club
Needlework is not a dying art. In fact, it is alive and well on Wednesdays at lunch in F-4.
Stitchers’ Club President Leah Patel explained the purpose of the club. “Stitchers is a club that focuses on having fun learning how to do any craft with stitches! We mainly focus on learning how to crochet, but we encourage knitting, cross-stitching, embroidery, and more,” she said.
Most weeks there are only a handful of students, maybe five or so, but the club is open to anyone who wants to learn crochet or other needlework or have a fun lunch with friends.
Ms. Susanne Watson, English teacher, is the adviser of the club and opens her room for students interested in working on their latest stitching project.
