Applicants for the Bags of Love Foundation Scholarship must be California residents who have been diagnosed with cancer. Each applicant must be a high school senior entering a college/university or a current student enrolled in college/university and must demonstrate financial need.

You can try to score your prize by writing a personal essay in which you explain how cancer has affected you and/or what you have done in your community to make a positive impact. Application form must be completely and correctly filled out. Official or unofficial transcript must be submitted and at least one letter of recommendation is required (two recommended). Must be able to provide proof of enrollment; Letter of acceptance or class schedule. Must provide proof of cancer diagnosis; a letter of diagnosis from the doctor..
