Welding scholarship helps put your finances together.

The Donald F. Hastings Scholarship honors a person who has devoted more than forty years to the welding industry.

Mr. Hastings’ devotion to the American Welding Society is exemplified by his willingness to share of his personal time, as well as the resources of The Lincoln Electric Company.

Mr. Hastings, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, once stated, “Advanced welding education is vital to the very survival of this industry. This scholarship is an investment in welding engineering that will foster new metal joining technology. I am very proud to be associated with the renewed emphasis that the American Welding Society is placing on specific educational efforts.”

Students interested in this scholarship must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma; be enrolled full or part time at an academic institution in the United states, have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. They also must be attending school in Ohio or California.
