Coffee that’s worth the drive
Restaurant Review – Capricorn Coffee in Sacramento
From 8 am to 3 pm, Capricorn Coffees at 8021 Fruitridge Road, serves some of the best drinks and pastries in Sacramento.
One Sunday morning, I decided to try a new coffee shop since I really like coffee. When I arrived, it was warm and very welcoming. The decorations were simple and pleasing. The store was very clean, making us feel really comfortable. My mom and I got up to the cash register and ordered our drinks after the family in front of us ordered. The cashier was super sweet and quick. My mom ordered an iced matcha with oat milk and I ordered their iced mocha coffee with a scone.
Once we finalized the order, the cashier asked us if we’d like to order a bean box. I asked her if she could explain what that was. A bean box is 12-oz of gourmet coffee you can order online. We decided to pass only because we don’t normally drink coffee every day. Although we declined, the bean box sounded so cool and I would definitely recommend it to extreme coffee lovers. I heard my name get called once our coffee was ready and picked it up.
My iced mocha was sweet with a mixture of strong coffee. It was overall very good and similar to the Starbucks iced white mocha but with a little more sweetness. My mom, on the other hand, liked it but she will always prefer Starbucks. The scone was like any other scone, very soft and delicious.
Capricorn Coffees is located on next to a UPS drop box. They are closed on Saturdays but opened throughout the rest of the week and Sunday mornings are a good time to visit the coffee shop.
