Armijo Royal Regiment is the Division 2A Champion for Parade at the Tournament of Champions, which was held on Saturday, November 19, at Rodriguez High School.  “They would have also won Divisions 1A, 3A, and 5A,” said band director Louise Jacob.

Drum Major Giovanni Pena won 1st place Mace and had they had a Sweepstakes award he would have won that too!  He had the highest score of the day!!

Kayleigh Kurtz brought it home again with a spectacular performance and won 2nd place in Division 2A Guard.  The fact that she is beating full on groups is a true testament to her drive and dedication to the sport!

“We are heading into our winter season on a high note!  If anyone is interested in being part of our award winning group, we will be doing winter percussion, winter guard, and solo drum major competitions, talk to a band member or swing by E-1 after school,” said Ms. Jacob.
