Armijo will be facing off against the Vanden High School Vikings on Friday, September 9 for the annual Football Homecoming event. While the game will be the primary reason for people to celebrate, there will be lots of activities all week long.

The week’s theme is Disney Channel Original Movies and dress-up days and activities will be announced to fit each day of the week. Watch for posters announcing the day-t0-day events and costume themes. Student participation is encouraged.

On Friday night, September 30, between the Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity games, each class will perform a skit based on the theme. The freshman will do a performance based on High School Musical; the Class of 2025 will be bringing Descendants to life; the junior class will perform their skit based on Camp Rock; and the seniors will be thrilling the crowd with a skit about Teen Beach Movie.

During half-time, the Homecoming Princes, Princesses, along with the King and Queen will be announced. Nominations have already begun and elections will take place earlier in the week and individuals from each class will be chosen to serve as Prince and Princess to represent their class. The Class of 2023 will also have a King and Queen chosen.

Win or lose, Armijo will host a Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 1. Dance bids will be required, so pick one up soon. More details will be shared about the dance soon.
