Are you a California teen between 14 and 18? Design a poster highlighting job health and safety for teens and you could win a cash prize! Visit our Young Worker Posters page to see the winners of the 2020 Safe Jobs for Youth Month poster contest, as well as all of our previous winners!

Contest Rules

All youth between the ages of 14-18 who live in California can submit a Safe Jobs for Youth Month poster virtually, focusing on workplace health safety as it relates to teens. Check out 2022 Rules and Tips in the “Contest Materials” section below for more information.

Prizes:

First Place: $300
Second Place: $200
Third Place: $100

AND an additional $100 prize to the school the first place winner attends.

How Do I Enter?

Create a poster in any language with a theme related to Safe Jobs for Youth, specifically with workplace safety as it relates to the real threat of COVID-19.
Scan or take a picture of your poster if it’s a hard copy, or save it digitally if it’s already online.
Fill out and sign the Entry/Release Form (found in the “Contest Materials” section below). All entries must include a poster and your entry form.
Submit your poster AND Entry/Release Form by email to LOHP at [email protected] no later than Friday, January 28, 2022.
Winners will be notified on or before May 1, 2022, and the top three winning posters will be posted on the Young Workers website. Additionally, the first place winning poster will be distributed to schools and libraries throughout California and sent out upon request.
