Editor focus – Events
As The Armijo Signal Senior Events Editor I write this final editor spotlight with a heavy heart.
Hello, I’m LunaBella Peralta and I’ve been contributing to The Armijo Signal since my freshman year, and have been the Events Editor for the past three years. These past school years have flown by fast thanks to virtual learning, but I’m grateful for every moment. Now, in my final year of the International Baccalaureate Program and Armijo High School I say my final goodbyes to the Signal.
I first joined the Armijo Signal in search of a platform to build my writing skills and interest in journalism. At first I was nervous, even questioning if I was good enough to participate in TheSignal. However, my nerves were quickly smoothed as I was introduced to the kind staff and welcoming environment of the Armijo Signal. Since then I’ve written numerous articles focusing on different engaging topics and tested my skills of communication.
Once I became Events Editor in my sophomore year, I was introduced to a whole new world of writing and preparing articles. Over time, I have learned how to discover family friendly events and showcase their information in appealing ways.
My time here at The Armijo Signal has truly been beneficial and hopefully in the future will lead me down a writing career path. I’ve learned so much about journalism and the importance of communication. The Armijo Signal is a core student guide when it comes to news, events, and entertainment and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of that.
