This family has conquered the wrestling world and beyond.

The Anoa’i family is a lineage of American-Samoan professional wrestlers in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Sportstere tells us that Samoan wrestlers have helped revolutionize and shape pro wrestling to what we see on television today.
Peter Maivia is the first generation of the Anoa’i family. He first wrestled in New Zealand and Australia, but was then signed to WWE. He was given Hall of Fame status in 2008.
Sika, the nephew of Peter, is part of the tag team duo The Wild Samoans. He and his brother Afa are three-time WWE Tag Team Championships. They are considered one of the best tag teams on the roster.
Rocky Johnson, father of famous Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, although not related by blood to the Anoa’I, is part of the family because he married Ata, Peter Maivia’s daughter. Rocky wrestled for nearly two decades, and won a tag team championship.
Yokozuna, or Rodney, was signed to WWE in 1992, and won the 1993 Royal Rumble, and the WWE championship twice. He was the first of the Anoa’i to win a world title. Rodney is cousin to “the Rock,” Roman Reigns, Rosey and Umaga.
Of course, we all know “the Rock.” He is considered the most successful member of this family. He is a ten time WWE champion, and headlined WrestleMania numerous times.
Umaga, whose uncles are the Wild Samoans, was very popular during the aggression era of WWE. He won the Intercontinental Championship twice, while his younger brother Rishiki, who is twins with “The Tongan Kid,” was popular during the attitude era of WWE. Rishiki has won the tag team and Intercontinental Championship, thus leading him to be inducted into the WWE hall of fame in 2015.
The Jimmy and Jey Uso are twin sons of Rikishi. The twins were signed to WWE in 2009 and have won titles six times.
Roman Reigns, who was mentioned earlier, is the current poster boy of WWE. For the past eight years he has taken WWE by a storm. He is the Rare Grand Slam champion.
It’s not just about the men in the family, though. Tamina Snuka is the daughter of Jimmy Snuka and she has had a decade-long career in wrestling. Her seemingly undefeatable strength makes her one of the powerhouses of the women’s division today.

Nia Jax is one of the most successful women of the Anoa’i family. She is the former Raw Women’s champion, and currently the reigning Women’s tag team champion. Nia’s father is cousins with Peter Maivia.
Finally, we have Simone Johnson, the daughter of “the Rock.” While she hasn’t made her debut yet, she is fourth generation Anoa’I, is currently in training and is signed to NXT.
