Editorial: Spring into action
Spring has sprung out of the winter season! March 20 officially marks the first day, but that can be seen with the warmer weather, greener leaves, and a feeling for a much needed spring break. All the more, spring allows us to soak in the good sun we’ve been missing during the winter and enjoy the blooming flowers outside, hopefully without bad allergies.
As mentioned in a story on holidays in the spring, there will be a National Take a Walk in the Park Day, which is a great way to enjoy spring before we move onto summer.
While this editorial is posted at around the same time as last year’s memorable lockdown from the pandemic, parks are outdoors and big enough to social distance.
If you’ve given up on your New Year’s resolutions, the kick off of spring can help you restart those goals. Even if you don’t have it on your resolutions, try cleaning your living space in dedication to the season, especially since you have to be there to sleep, eat, AND go to online school. There’s a story called Start the season right with some spring cleaning in the Current Theme section on how you can start the process.
Let’s all spring into action by taking up a healthy habit or trying something new and different, such as writing for or reading more of The Signal! Enjoy the last season before the end of the school year with a new hobby like gardening, taking tips from one our stories in this theme.
