Freshman: Prabjot (Tia) Kaur

1st year in leadership

About myself:

I am from Grange middle school. I played soccer for 2 years there and I was in the gate/honors for 2 years there.  I tend to be a very social person and very outgoing from time to time. I like to spread positive energy. I love helping people and being for them. I like to color red and my hobbies are painting, watching too much anime, and simping over fictional characters:)

How I will help others and what I bring to the table:

I feel like it is really important to help others. I am really happy to help others. The way I would help others is by trying to stay positive with them. Also, do whatever I can to be for them and make them trust me. I feel like trust is something you have to earn and I would want others to trust me so I can help them. What I bring to the table is leadership skills such as helping others, hardworking, being positive, and etc. I also feel like people are very comfortable around me. All I hope is everyone to be happy and enjoy leadership to the fullest.

A way I plan to stay connected with the students:

I plan to gain the trust of students first because I feel like that is really important to stay connected with them. Something I would be doing is making sure student’s voices are heard like hearing their ideas just listening to them in general. To make sure they know I am here for them. Also, I will try to stay connected with them by being by their side when they need me or when they need help. 

My top 3 priorities are:

My priorities are making sure everyone is having a good time. Also to keep a positive vibe for everyone. Lastly, try to get students, not in leadership more involved. I want everyone to have fun. As long you’re having fun I would be happy. I would love to see smiles on student’s faces. Overall if everyone is happy I am happy leadership is a class for positive vibes, good bonds, and good laughs. 

Why I am in leadership:

I first joined leadership because my friends did it but now it’s my favorite class. I am in leadership because I want to be able to make friends/bonds with people. I wanna bring smiles to students by putting on events. I want to be able to help others whenever I can. Recently when I went to school and helped with an event it made me happy. Just to see those kids smile. I joined the leadership to boost my leadership skills. Leadership is something you don’t experience in other classes. I am in leadership because I want to help other people.
