Club Focus: International Club
The International Club, which meets every Wednesday at lunch in E-3, is a club that tries to show appreciation to cultures around the world, honoring and learning about the different ways that people’s cultural background contributes to the local, international and global society.
International Club plans events throughout the year, but the most important one is International Week, which is celebrated in May. During this event, club members reach out to the school to celebrate a variety of cultures through music and dance.
International Club has other fun events, too. In October, they joined the Garden Club in hosting a Halloween costume contest. In November they plan to have a movie night.
Anyone can be a part of the International Club. “The more the better,” said International Club Secretary / Treasurer Lisa Palmas.
For more information, students can contact International Club President Daniela Martinez, or go directly to the adviser, Ms. Vanessa Walling-Sisi in E-3.
