Pearl Thai Cuisine is a family-owned restaurant located at 870 Southampton Rd, in Benicia. Their delicious dishes are served with thought and care, so much so that they actually won the 1st Place Solano County’s Best Thai food by Times Herald for four consecutive years.

My personal experience at the restaurant was amazing. It is a small restaurant but very comfortable. The staff was super sweet and started my family and me with our choice of drink. I just ordered a glass of water and it came out quickly.

Once we started ordering, the server asked what we wanted for our starter. We decided on the vegetable egg rolls with their sweet chili sauce. Now, for my main dish, I ordered a chicken salad with a side of steamed rice. It took about 30 minutes for my food to arrive and when it did, it looked so pretty I had to take a picture of it. My salad consisted of chicken breast, green onion, cilantro, and a special sauce. The food was savory and very filling. The portion size was perfect. It was just enough to keep me full and not waste any food.

My family and I stayed a little after to just talk. The servers were very friendly and patient. They would constantly ask us if we needed anything. When we decided to leave, we paid a total of $46 and left a $10 tip for the attentive server.

Overall the experience was great and it felt good to try new and different food. I definitely recommend it if you want fresh and new food. The environment is great and calm.
