Women visit training facility
On Friday, March 25, Mr. Matt Davis, woodshop teacher, and Ms. Sandy Anderson, College & Career adviser, took 19 young ladies to the carpenters training facility for a Women in Construction event. “It was awesome,” said Ms. Anderson.
These young ladies are part of the Career Technical Education (CTE) program. During the presentations, the girls were attentive and curious and they learned a lot about a trade that is lacking in female representation. By observing the facility, they were able to learn things that are more apparent in the industry than in the classroom. It was a benificial trip for all who were involved.
