Lewa has big plans for the sophomore class and big dreams for herself.

Lewa Day is the president of the Class of 2019. This is her second year at Armijo. She said that she is involved in student government to meet new people and to be more involved in school. Day also has an older sibling, Armando Day, who graduated from Rodriguez in 2014.

While Day is responsible for many things as a class president, there are things that she wishes she could change. One of those things would change  is the way we learn. She said that, although  we all don’t learn the same, they teach the same, so she thinks that should change.

Day has a huge interest in softball. She will be playing for the Armijo Indians this year. Her role model is softball player Sierra Romiro, who plays for Michigan. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sierra_Romero). Day said that she is very inspired to be like her. After high school Day wants to train to be a pro softball player and later, maybe want to be a physical therapist.
