There can never be too much bacon…

Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs

Lunch: Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich

Dinner: Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf with Maple-roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon

This could be your menu on December 30, Bacon Day. Make sure you don’t confuse it with other National or International Bacon Days (January 2, February 19 or September 4).

According to www.NationalDayCalendar.com, Danya “D” Goodman was the inventor of Bacon Day in 1977, at least the one in December. She created it as a day to bond people together over a versatile, savory treat.

Besides the traditional meals that people associate with bacon, it can also be used to top a burger, a salad, a pizza, or even on a doughnut.

To celebrate, why not make something with bacon or even have a bacon cook out?

Even with four different Bacon Days, you might not be able to get enough of it. Why not consider a vacation to one of several bacon festivals, like the one in Ann Arbor, Michigan (Zingerman’s Camp Bacon 2021 from June 2-6), Easton, Pennsylvania (PA Bacon Fest from November 1-7), or Des Moines, Iowa (Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival on March 6).
