If you could save the Barbary Ape, would you? You can help.

Every year, on December 4 is an opportunity to spread awareness about preserving wildlife and protecting it at all costs. Nature is a sacred thing that can easily be destroyed, and nature is something we need and love.

Wildlife Conservation Day aims to end crimes against wildlife, and to encourage people to support the Endangered Species Act. Wildlife crimes include illegal acts of poaching, and destruction to animal habitats. People sell certain animals to criminal groups to make profit. Rhinos, for instance, are often captured and killed by poachers who pursue them for their horns.

Wildlife Conservation Day encourages us to stand up for endangered animals: specific breeds of rhinos, sea turtles, gorillas, elephants, tigers, and many more. These animals will soon become extinct if we don’t do anything about it. Enforcing the Endangered Species Act is a common way to bring awareness to the cause, and Wildlife Conservation Day is a time to focus on this Act.

We can spread awareness of the situation on this day by contributing to zoos and other wildlife organizations. We can spend time learning about the dangers that threaten wildlife, and work toward weakening whatever forces do that.

Share this day on any social media platform and help spread awareness.
