From close friends and family to celebrities, anybody can be a role model and inspire others.

People have role model for different reasons. A role model is a person who is looked to by others as an example, someone to be imitated. Someone’s father, for instance, can be a role model because he is a good man. Somebody else, however, may look at someone like LeBron James as a role model because of his athletic skill.
Perhaps Steph Curry is a role model for two different people, but for different reasons. Some might admire him because of what he does for the Bay Area community, but others may see him as admirable because of what he has done in the NBA.
Some role models are famous, but they do not have to be. A role model can be a parent, a friend, or a teacher, but what makes role models important? Role models give people a goal or something to look up to, an example to strive for. A role model can influence someone to do or act a certain way.
Some people might see Elon Musk as a role model and be inspired or influenced to make cars. Others may admire someone like Kobe Bryant, an NBA player for the Los Angeles Lakers for 20 years. He had a very long career, but died tragically earlier this year. ”Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise,” Bryant said.
Role models come in different shapes and sizes, and they can be famous or simply familiar. They generally set good examples for someone to follow, and anyone can be a role model, even if they don’t know it.
