Intro to Online Publishing is making its debut at Armijo this school year. As a Career & Technical Education (CTE) elective, it is available for students in any grade to take. Ms. Lori Gonzalez will be teaching it this year for Armijo.

The course’s curriculum revolves around learning the components of Microsoft Word and Publisher in order to have a better understanding of online marketing with a proficient skill in digital design. This entails formatting documents in an engaging way, using the graphics available. Students will learn page design techniques including scanning pictures, using a digital camera, and the significance of a portfolio. By working with these programs, they will be given the tools to create professional-looking online print and publications, a skill quite beneficiary considering how much of the work we do has been integrated into digital learning.

After completing the class, students are opened up to the possibility of further taking Desktop Publishing and Print Design courses.
